The light bulb industry have transitioned from traditional incandescent light bulbs to compact fluorescent bulbs, halogens, and LED lighting. This is due to the new standards set by the Energy Independence and Security Act.
Even though the new standards have been set, incandescent bulbs are still being using in billions of light sockets in the United States. Unfortunately, compact fluorescent light bulbs are considered to be very inefficient and many companies have geared manufacturing toward these light bulbs. Their efficiency over incandescent bulbs are only a mere 25 percent. LED light bulbs are 5 to 10 times more efficient per watt.
On average, the Gooee LED bulbs are able to produce 78 lumens per watt. Incandescent averaged 13 lumens per watt and halogens can produce 18 lumens.
The price of LED light bulbs are much lower than they were in the past. Bulbs can be found for $10 or less in stores or online. These bulbs also last a lot longer than a regular light bulb so you seldom will have to swap them out. This can save household hundreds of dollars per year.
