Doe Deere, also known as the “Queen of Unicorns” has a real passion for makeup and colors and her cosmetic brand, Lime Crime has become very successful. Doe Deere is real-live proof that anyone can make their dreams come true and become successful just by doing the things you love.
Doe Deere was born and raised in Russia and moved to the United States when she was 17. Deere lived in New York from 1998 to 2012 including in the Manhattan and Brooklyn areas. Deere currently lives and works in Los Angeles and continues to dream big. Deere sees herself as always being ambitious and her childhood dream was to become a musician which is what she did when she moved to New York. Deere met her future husband while she was a musician and they played in a band together and they are a great team to this day.
Being a musician has helped Doe Deere to learn many tools that have proven helpful in her cosmetic career. Deere has been ambitious even as a child when she has her first business in Russia when she was just 13 years old. She sold temporary tattoos, a novelty at the time, and she sold them mostly to her classmates.
Deere’s advice to future ambitious entrepreneurs is to just follow your heart and share your unique gifts with the world. There is only one you and when you are in tune with your own individual talents, here really is just no stopping you.
Lime Crime was born because Deere did just that-she followed her dreams and her love of bright colors sparked a while new cosmetic line. Not being able to find the bright colors that she wanted to wear back in 2008 forced her to make her own and she became very successful doing it. There just weren’t fresh and exciting colors on the market when it came to makeup products. If you weren’t into the “natural” look, then you were just out of luck. But Lime Crime has changed all of that.
Deere feels that the makeup you wear reflects your personality and is a way to express yourself without fearing judgement. Deere attended FIT in New York and feels that fashion and makeup go together. Deere feels that we can express ourselves a lot by what we put on our bodies and we are all different and unique.
